Howell Davies Welding is owned and managed by Jonathan Davies who is a Welsh Expat now permanently residing in Australia.
Under the guidance and direction of Jonathan, Howell Davies welders are known for being the cream of the welding talent in Australia and for larger projects, requiring additional skill sets we have strong international networks established.
Howell Davies success is built on 20 years of hard work, experience and our teams have a shared commitment to achieving common goals. No job is too big, too small or too unique.
Our teams are used to working under pressure in the most challenging conditions, production requirements & deadlines.

The Team
Jonathan Davies
Owner / Director
As the Owner/Director of Howell Davies, Jonathan has been the driving force behind the success and continued growth of the company. Jonathan takes a “hands-on” approach to leading, drawing from his trade background in coded welding both nationally and internationally to ensure that each project is professionally delivered to meet client expectations.
Proudly, Jonathan has led the expansion of Howell Davies from a small welding company through to present, a diversified, industry leading, Specialised Welding Company delivering a range of services from small 2 km pipeline projects through to managing entire large scale projects engaging professional specialist teams.
The working ethos of the Howell Davies mirrors its values and culture which is driven and replicated through the personal management style exhibited by Jonathan. His ability to attract and retain the best people within the industry is credit to his approach to business.
Sarah Stewart
Accountant
Based in our New South Wales office, our chartered accountant Sarah draws experience from working within accounting practices as well as the construction industry in Australia and the UK. Sarah is our financial and management accountant who heads our accounts payable and receivable departments as well as our contracts management, company payroll and administration. The professionalism with which Sarah executes her responsibilities ensures a high quality service is consistently provided to the many stakeholders of our firm on a daily basis.
Erryn Alderson
Project Management & Welding Supervisory Services
For the last eight years, Erryn has provided Project Management and Welding Supervisory to our largest projects, those being MC (APLNG) JV, Barrow Island, the Western Corridor Project and Sugarloaf. Having completed an apprenticeship as a Fitter Turner, Erryn has completed additional training in welding and holds pressure and coded welding tickets with WTIA.
Erryn leads by example, often being found operating the Boom or Welding where required. His personable approach to leading combined with his knowledge of the industry and drive to achieve results, has earnt Erryn the upmost of respect from our clients and welding teams alike.
Duncan McFarlane
Project/Construction Manager
With over 39 years experience working on various international pipeline projects with the last 27 of those years in management positions, Duncan brings a wealth of experience second to none.
Duncan’s engaging nature, attention to detail and understanding of the industry ensure that projects run on time, within budget and meet all legislative requirements.
